How I Work: Therapy With a Northern Twist
My approach is pluralistic, which means I draw from different therapeutic methods based on what works best for you. We're all unique, so your therapy should be too, no one-size-fits-all here.
My Therapy Style: Straight-Talking but Supportive
I'm the kind of therapist who will make you a proper brew and have a real chat. Therapy with me isn't stuffy, boring, or clinical, we can have a laugh because I don't want this to be intimidating.

I'm not the kind of therapist who'll just sit there nodding while you talk, occasionally asking "and how does that make you feel?"
Instead, I create a space where you can show up just as you are, no judgement and plenty of tea. Just real conversations that actually make a difference.

As a pluralistic therapist in Blackpool, I blend different therapeutic approaches based on what works best for you as an individual. Because let's be honest, we're all different, and what helps one person might not help another.

The UNLEARN & RECLAIM™ Method: Finding Your Way Back to Yourself
My therapy framework is designed specifically for millennial women navigating burnout, identity loss, self-doubt, and 'good girl' conditioning.
Together, we'll help you unlearn roles that were never yours and reclaim your authentic voice , without the guilt that usually comes along for the ride.

Here's what our work together might include:

1. GROUND – Calm the Noise
First, we'll help your nervous system feel safe enough to heal. This means:
-
Understanding your fight/flight/freeze/fawn responses
-
Learning practical grounding tools for everyday overwhelm
-
Finding ways to rest without the guilt (yes, it is possible)

2. MEET – Get to Know Your Inner World
You're not broken, you're carrying parts of yourself that learned to protect you. We'll explore:
-
Parts work to understand your internal system
-
Naming the inner critics keeping you small
-
Recognising protective patterns that once served you but now limit you

3. SEE – Unlearn the 'Good Girl' Script
You didn't choose your roles, but you can choose to release them:
-
Mapping inherited roles (The Strong One, The Peacekeeper, etc.)
-
Understanding family expectations and conditioning
-
Setting guilt-free boundaries as an act of self-respect

4. KNOW – Reconnect with the Real You
Let's rediscover what you like, want, and need, without apologising for it:
-
Exploring your authentic values and preferences
-
Reconnecting with joy, creativity, and self-expression
-
Creating permission slips for being your full self

5. LOVE – Befriend Your Inner Critic
You can't shame yourself into healing. It's time for fierce and tender compassion:
-
Understanding where your critical voice comes from
-
Developing self-compassion practices that don't feel cringe
-
Transforming your relationship with yourself

6. CHOOSE – Rewrite the Rules
This is your life. Let's make it feel like yours:
-
Practicing choice and autonomy
-
Letting go of "productivity = worth" mentality
-
Designing a life aligned with YOUR values (not anyone else's)

What to Expect
Free 15-Minute Consultation
We'll chat briefly about what brings you to therapy and whether we might be a good fit for working together. No obligation, just a chance to connect and see if my approach feels right for you. You can ask any questions and get a feel for how I work.

First Session
We'll discuss what's brought you to therapy, what you hope to achieve, and start creating a plan for our work together. This is also where we'll handle paperwork and any questions you might have. It's about getting comfortable and setting the foundation for our work.

Ongoing Sessions
Each 50-minute session is your space to explore whatever feels most important. I may suggest specific approaches or exercises based on your goals, but you're always in the driver's seat. We'll work at your pace, focusing on what feels both challenging and manageable.

How Many Sessions?
Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Some clients benefit from short-term work (8-12 sessions), while others prefer longer-term support. We'll regularly review our progress together and adjust as needed. There's no pressure to commit to a set number of sessions from the start.
